| Hey. I've become a big fan of all things Fabled Lands over the last few months. I've been playing the FL1 app, but somehow didn't notice that you could buy FL2 via in-app purchase. So I got the Gold Edition, and I've been playing that for a few days.
Bugs I've noticed so far (iphone version): -
- My resurrection deals only seem to work about 25% of the time. Am I doing something wrong? I go through the motions to activate them as instructed, but most of the time the field that should say something like 'use a resurrection deal' just appears blank, and I have to go to my last save. This one really needs fixing - it sours gameplay considerably.
- Some items don't save correctly in the inventory, and transform into a 'Normal Dagger' when you get them. One notable instance: I came across some Celestium Ore (selling price 2000 shards), and it was logged in my inventory as a Normal Dagger (selling price 40 shards). Annoying.
- Whenever you sell cargo, the picture that appears onscreen is, again, a Normal Dagger. The cargo does sell for the correct price, at least.
- The Lore scroll on the Trau just appears as a big black block (maybe that's intentional?). I can only guess that it's a Lore scroll by context, in fact - when you click on it, you receive a page of info about the Trau. This item has spontaneously appeared once or twice in my inventory, too.
- The 'Enchanted Peacock Feather of the Heavens' (possibly I'm misremembering the exact name) sometimes 'stops working', and fails to give its appropriate +4 Charisma bonus. Possibly this only applies to the one that you pick up in the country fair, possibly to all of them (I haven't checked that extensively). It works fine when you pick it up; sometime down the road you notice that your Charisma score is much lower than it should be.
- Becoming an initiate of a certain faith sometimes doesn't give the appropriate ability bonus it should. If I recall, Sig, Lacuna and Nagil work fine; I've had problems with Tyrnai and Elnir. Appropriate bonuses don't show up on character sheets or, I believe, in ability tests.
All for now, I think. I am enjoying the game immensely, bugs notwithstanding.

| Ah, I think I see what the problem is with the bonuses you get for being an initiate of the different faiths. They don't stack with item bonuses.
For example, if you have a Silver Holy Symbol (+2 Sanctity), and you're an Initiate of Nagil (+3 Sanctity), your overall bonus will be +3 (not +5).
Starting out in this game, I thought faith bonuses and item bonuses would be cumulative. But maybe it's a deliberate design choice that they aren't - and so, not a bug.

| It's deliberate indeed and explained more or less in the faq I think. | |

| Not sure if this is a bug, but I've gotten quest items like The amulet of King Skabb several times from random chests at the casino or while fighting monsters. Since I already finished that quest, there doesn't seem to be any use for them and they just take up inventory space.
EDIT: I forgot to mention another bug, the quest to hunt down the were-boar is still in my log even though I completed it and ranked up. I have a duplicate Boar's Tusk from a random chest, but she won't accept it so I'm not sure how to get rid of it.

If I drink ANY type of potions, the game instantly quit!
iPad2 game version: 1.3 iOS version: 5.0 (9A334)
peace!
[update: not just the potions. If i wanna' drink (example: Reaver's Rum Barrel), use (example: Conch of Safety from Storms) something, i gotta' the system style window: "Do you want to ... ? Yes or No", I tap the answer, and then, insantly drop me to iPad's home screen.]

| For reference, though you've probably already figured this out, the problem occurs on my iPad 1 as well. I suspect it has to do with the upgrade to iOS version 5.0, as I've seen lots of other programs come out with new versions just to deal with the changes. Really annoying. | |

| I cannot kill the dragon, i find the cave, but the battle doesn't start, I'm taken to some fields screen.
I cannot enter the Orlock Castle, the screen, where I used to choose to enter or not doesn't appear at all.
All this behaviour was not like that all the time. I've been murdered by the dragon several timeas and I've been to the castle, but now, when my hero can defeat the dragon and knows about the initiation, I cannot continue.

| These two might not be bugs, because both pages have reasons to kick you out. I just checked things as well as I could, and obviously I can't see all possible combinations of factors, but:
For the dragon, a new character of mine can in fact find it. A returning character, however, is NOT supposed to be able to find it. You get exactly one chance to kill the dragon and can never fight it again (which makes sense, anyway, if you killed it that first time).
For Castle Orlock, my character with a candle can get in just fine, but with no light source I get turned back. This is the correct behavior, so how is it working for you?

| About the dragon: I used to find it, but it killed me about 3-4 times, now i can find him, but cannot even begin the battle. Wwith a new character I could kill it (maybe, there's a limit of times you can try to fight the dragon?) And it's correct for the Castle Orlock, it was my mistake, I've sold the candle | |

| About the dragon: you say you died multiple times. Which of the following happened?
1). You died and re-loaded the game from an earlier save.
2). You died and used a resurrection arrangement.
The game gives you exactly one chance to defeat the dragon. If you die and get resurrected, the dragon will never appear again. However, if you use the save feature, you can go back to before you used your "one chance."
The videogame save feature, of course, wasn't available in the original paper book. This is a special little "cheat" that you can use in the videogame. (Because modern gamers expect a save feature, you know.)

| Then . . . that shouldn't happen. In fact, it should be impossible.
I'm sorry, but I guess I don't know what went wrong!

| A) Continuous crash to home screen after rest and save in tents, at homes, and in other locations except taverns/inns- really annoying as it adds up after a while.
B) I have a random event where I meet sokaran traders after leaving Metriciens and just suddenly DIE for no reason.
C) The deliver a scarab quest is bugged if you get it a second time (obviously you should not be given the option to complete it again)

| Good day, and thanks for your input. I can go and check these (I'm curious to see if we messed up the Scarab-related one long ago), but it sounds like we're running into perpetual issues with "the system's getting out-of-date": I assure you that the crash to the home screen didn't happen before.
If this is true, then I'm very sorry but it's likely only to get worse. It's a real shame that games developed for such a mobile market MUST be updated FOREVER or else they'll suffer like this.
